Wander Pass turns a trip through El Nido into a passport you fill in real life — find a place, scan the stamp that's waiting there, keep the trip. This is the whole thing, start to finish.

The whole app is built around one simple loop. The point isn't to stare at your phone — it's to get you out to real places in El Nido, and give you something worth keeping from the trip.

Photos, hours, area, and what to look for. The one clear action is Directions — the listing's whole job is to make you go. You don't earn a stamp here; you earn it by being there.

The other two sides

How it works for partners & how we run it

Here's the part travelers never see. On purpose, there's nothing for a café — or for us — to log into: no second app, no dashboard, no software to learn. Here's what actually happens on each side.

For a café, bar or shop on the trail

One sticker by the counter — that's all we ask of them

What they do

  • Let us put one Wander Pass sticker by their register. Nothing to buy, no machine, no app to learn, no account to set up.
  • If a traveler shows a little welcome on their screen — a free coffee, a small perk — just honour it. A friendly nod; no codes to punch in.

What they get

  • A spot in the app that sends real travelers to their door — the main button on their page is Directions.
  • A “Wander Pass Partner” badge they've earned. If a place ever pays to be featured, it's clearly marked Sponsored — never dressed up as our recommendation.
Nothing happens on their end. The stamp lives on the traveler's phone — proof they actually showed up. Could someone fake a scan? Sure, but a faked stamp just gives them an empty passport and no real trip, so it isn't worth policing. (If a partner ever wants hard proof the app is bringing them customers, we can add that later.)

A simple list we edit, and stickers we print

Keeping the trail up to date

  • Every place, photo, opening hour and welcome lives in one simple list Dave edits directly — no dashboard, and no developer needed to change or add a spot.
  • From that list, we print the Wander Pass stickers and place them around El Nido. Take a place off the list and its sticker simply stops working.

Why there's no control panel yet

  • A proper admin screen only earns its keep once we run more than one destination — a later problem, not a today one.
  • Same with accounts and cloud backup: we'll add those the day someone loses their phone and wants their passport back. Not before.
Two honest trade-offs of keeping it this simple: lose your phone, lose your stamps; and we can't show a real “this many people visited” number without a server behind it. Both are fair reasons to build more later — just not yet.

  2. On its page, tap Scan the stamp and point your camera at that place's code.
  3. The stamp presses in — “You found it.” Do it for all six and your passport is full.
